DECODING RELIGION
It isn’t wrong to say that in today’s world “RELIGION became a synonym of "Massacre or Riot” and the combined work of terrorist groups like ISIS & Al-Qaeda, riot in the name of religion, discrimination in the basis of caste and religion, rising of fraud god-men etc. made this possible.

But, is this so? If we deeply analyze the
matter behind all these conflicts, we can find ourselves as the root cause. Religion
fundamentalism is so deep rooted within us that we often ignore this.
A Sufi
saint once said, “Jab mene allha ko dhundne chala to khud ko paya; fir khud ko
dhunda to Allah ko” which means “When I searched for God, I find myself and
When I searched for myself, I found God”
We
devote ourselves to our idol/god.... is it bhakti (devotion)? ....
Yes! It
is ... but it is the preliminary devotion and it may either give rise to the
supreme devotion (para-bhakti) or fanaticism (the root cause of all religion
related problems).
In most cases,
people end up their devotion journey by becoming a sectarian.
First
let us talk about HINDUISM,
We Hindus
made a hierarchical classification of "jati" or "class" in
which "brahmins" sit at the apex position and "shudras" at
the bottom. This is known as “The Varna system” .
People who are illiterate believe
in this system and keep this notion alive but the dominating force behind this,
are the people belonging to higher class having higher education and degrees
(mostly) .
Actually,
they are intellectually illiterate or FOOLS, in other words, because they know
the truth, read the truth, but maintain the false thing and live with that fallacy.
Vedas are called "Srutis" because they are believed to be the words of God
and not a mere creation of man. Ancient Rishis somehow perceived or, heard that
knowledge in their mind and wrote them.

| Vedas |
The 10th
Mandala (or, section) of Rig Veda contains “Purusasukta Hymn” which describes
the 4 Varna of the society and the Varna system, that was created for the welfare of
the whole society in which certain people were associated with certain jobs and
as per their nature of duty they were assigned to a Varna.
Not only
in the Vedas, but, in Bhagwat Gita it is written that –
“Brahmana kshtriyabinsa Sudranam cha
paramtapa
Karmani Prabivaktani swavabapravabairgune” {Chapter 18; verse 42}
Which
means “As per the nature of duty (karma) people are categorized in four varnas
like Brahmins, Kshatriya, Vaishya and Shudra” and as we know the Bhagwat Gita
is the most sacred book for all Hindu people as the verses are the words of
Lord Sri Krishna (the song of God).

Again; in Vedas there are 4 mahavakyas which is said to declare the ultimate truth. This are -
- · Ayamatma brahma (ATHARVA VEDA)
- · Aham brahmosmi (YAJUR VEDA)
- · Tat twam asi (SAMA VEDA)
- · Prajyanam brahma (RIG VEDA)
Each
mahavakya from each Veda tells us the truth about the individual self and the
universal self and that truth is “Irrespective of caste and creed, living and
non-living; everything is BRAHMAN and the individual self is none other than
the universal self”.
So, how
the discrimination between castes came into existence as we see today?
Well; it
started in later Vedic era when some so called Brahmins just for the sake of
power and materialistic enjoyment corrupted the meaning of Vedas and made the
Varna system hereditary. Therefore; in the renewed and selfish human made
social stratification became more rigid. Law gives (Brahmins & Kshatriya)
laid down the laws for separate castes and all kinds of restrictions were
imposed on Shudras. Therefore; Shudras and Vaisyas provided social support for
the emergence of new religious ideas like “Buddhism” and “Jainism”. As Vaishyas,
i.e, merchants , traders etc. acquired considerable economic powers hence, they
suffered a little but, the real victims of this renewed caste system was
“Shudras”.
Shudras
faced poverty and all kinds of hardships. Their children were eliminated from
all sorts’ education and sanitation. Even today also the people belonging to
this caste became habituated to unhealthy weather and faced a lot of
discrimination and some rich and upper class people barely think about their improvement
and sanitation. In fact the upper and rich class people make mockery of their
way of living instead of supporting them.
I would
like to add few more points from various epics and history like-
- Krishna sat on the lap of a woman belonging to a lower caste and embrace her
- Sri Ram ate berries from a tribal lady
- Adi Shankaracharya fell down at the feet of a "chandala(A lower caste)"
- Swami Vivekananda ate and shared his food with a dalit society (A lower caste)man
- Ramakrishna Paramahamsa changed his religion several times to learn the nature of lord..
- Mahatma Gandhi used to visit “Dalits” to teach them sanitation
And we, so called, educated human beings still judge people with sects associated with them knowing all these things... how foolish we are.
Supreme
devotion comes when you see your idol in each and every being, irrespective of
their sect, class, gender, appearance, color, way of living etc. and then
seeing that idol within you and you yourself within the idol.
But alas!
This is not happening; still we are clinging to Manu smritis and its rule.
Idols
are created by humans to ease the path of devotion but people made those idols
as the centre of conflict.
Same
thing happens with followers of ISLAM.
Instead
of praying to Allah, they are busy on choosing their caliphate, whether ALI
will be the successor of Islam or ABU BAKR, this selection process took the
shape of a battle between two sects SHIA and SUNNI and this fight took a
horrifying shape as ISIS & Al-Qaeda...
Similar
thing happened with CHRISTIANITY, popes at earlier time seen as god man by
people and they did many executions of innocent people in the name of religion.
Tantric
practices emerged in Buddhism, Animal sacrifices emerged as a part of worship
in Hinduism and what not....

| The dark side of the religion |
Every religion
is now contaminated by the ignorance of religion fundamentalism and became a
major part of riots and mass destruction.
11th
sept. 1893, at the parliament of religions, Chicago, USA ... A Hindu (do not consider
this in a sectarian way as in the early times, Indians were referred as Hindus)
monk, Swami Vivekananda told
"As
all streams of water having their sources at different places mingle their
water in the ocean, similarly, o lord! Different paths that men take by various
tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, ALL LEAD TO
THEE"
Therefore, let all of them live with dignity. No
upper class no lower class...Same maggots will come and eat your dead body
irrespective of your caste or creed.
Don’t run away from people who are living in
unhealthy environment rather teach them sanitation

seek revenge from any one as "Law
of karma" is there for everyone; so, if someone is doing bad deeds then,
sooner or later, they will get their respective results. No need of worry.
There is nothing except GOD. There is only GOD everywhere. He is all pervading and hence resides in the tiniest object.
